Summer highlights so far

In late May we spent a long weekend in the hill country celebrating a young friend's graduation, and took time to roam around Canyon Lake, go boot scootin' at Gruene Hall, and enjoy the local wildlife from the balcony of our country B&B...

...which certainly got an old ranch dog's attention!

Meanwhile, back home, the ixora and crepe myrtle in the front yard are enjoying the sun.

I have to work this afternoon, but because of a cancellation I get to enjoy dawdling around at home this morning.
How's your Monday shaping up?

Spent the morning fruitlessly searching for a piece of paper...
Love the attentive expression on Amie!

What pretty flowers! And the sweet Amie.

First day of camp. I THOUGHT I'd catch up on a list of things. But got sidetracked by the catching up I have to do before the list!

What a sweet picture of your dog.

I'm just writing a state government handbook today. Not fun, . . . but it pays.

Great pictures! Thanks.

I've been cleaning today and washing clothes and hanging them on the clothesline. The hot sun here is good for something.

Yes, thanks for all the great pictures.

I've been on a co-worker's computer all day, and somewhat limited because of it. But I'm glad to wait a while to get my laptop back, because some nasty spyware is on its way to getting the heck off of it!

Hiya!

Say, I've got a short stay in the Hill Country planned next month, at a B&B where they mention the deer come up to the deck to feed in the evening. Were you at Kerrville, by chance?

Just curious. I can hardly wait for my weekend away.

Hi Psalmist--
We were at Canyon Lake, near New Braunfels. The deer all over the hill country have little fear of people, which can be a problem for both the deer and the people!
You will have a wonderful time!
