Back yard, April afternoon

The pansies we've enjoyed all winter are beginning to fade, but they aren't finished yet.

My supervisor, taking a break on the patio.

A "Red Sister" (cordyline terminalis) recovering nicely from frost damage.

Aunt Icy's day lilies (crinums, really) have found a new home in this bed, but they won't bloom until June. But this time next month...
...peach cobbler!

Beautiful, beautiful! I love pansies. Today was my mother's birthday, even though she died 16 years ago. Her favorite flower was pansies, and they are mine now, too.

I grew up with pansies. My mom was so creative with pansy bouquets. And home grown peaches!!! Yum yum.

You have a lovely yard. I can just see us sittin' out there with iced tea, talkin' up a storm.
