Amie is generally somewhat reserved and sedate (except when she hears the word WALK), but when she is alone in the back yard, she loves to cut loose and roll, roll, roll. She is very reticent about doing it if either of us is watching. The Scientist took these pictures through the living room window, and I just had to show you Amie in mid-roll. Fellow dogbloggers (you know who you are), consider it a Thanksgiving present.
Ahhh! That's better!
We're headed for our favorite beachtown bed and breakfast tomorrow with the Scientist's mom and sister. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

I just got back from a late night walk on the B-E-A-C-H (as we have to spell it around here) with our two Schnauzers, Lola and Gracie. I understand both the roll and your appreciation of it.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Peace,
Milton
Have a good time! Happy Thanksgiving!
And why will she not roll in front of you. ~non-dog owner here~
Mindy, I honestly think it's because she's shy! Maybe that's crazy, but I can't think of another explanation. (She has gotten to where she will roll when I'm in the yard, as long as I act like I'm not paying attention.)
Milton, we have to either spell w-a-l-k or refer to it as "perambulation" or "constitutional" until the precise moment when we are ready to get up and take her! :)
Absolutely adorable photos, I miss having a dog right now and so I live vicariously through other dog-owners and lovers. Hapy Thanksgiving! Christine @ Sacred Art of Living
Thanks for the joyful doggie photos.
Yep, the word walk really changes the atmosphere around here too...everything goes into overdrive! Hubby is the preferred walking buddy and now he doesn't even have to say anything...Fenway (the doggie) just knows. They don't go every day and it is at different times. There is just something in dh's body language that has become connected to an impending walk.
Whoo-hoo! I love these pics!
The Boy is not shy about rolling. In fact, sometimes he slips into a unique style we've come to call "ride your bike." Never mind that his bike is upside-down and invisible, when those back legs start to pedal, the bike is there!
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for you and your blog!
Happy thanksgiving.
And that is one happy dog. Love it.
So cute! Happy Thanksgiving to all at the ranch!
A belated exclamation: adorable!!!
Great pics. We have to spell certain words around our dog, too :)
Pure joy!
