Good news

The specialist found no tumor and said her organs all looked normal. Like our regular vet, he suspects Cushing's disease, which is fairly common in old dogs and can be treated with medication. She'll need some more blood work to confirm that diagnosis, and I hope we can get that done by the end of the week. Thank you all so much for your prayers. I appreciate that more than you know.

Amie doesn't want me to show you, but I will tell you that she is now sporting a stylish new "do" just like Cub's!

I am so glad to hear this news. Cushings Disease, while not desired, is a much better potential diagnosis. Oh, and Scratch sported that doggie belly hair-do for quite a while. She says that it's all the better this way - humans can see even better where to rub!

Phew! You have been on my mind all day, so glad it's something that can be treated medically.

Glad you are OK, Amie. Even though you and Cub are og-days, I still don't like to hear that my friends aren't feeling well.

Hi, Amie, and Cub,

I am so glad you are Goin to Be OK. A Big Cosmic Woof of Love in Your Direction!

My brother Cassidy had Cushings and he got Special Medicine that made him Much Better.

(He did Cross the Rainbow Bridge but he was Old--17, and he also had to have a Pooterectomy. 'Cause he had a Bad Spot. Now I'm the Only Dog Left.

Maybe I want to have a Brother again. But not a RatDog. I just don't See the Need.
