My Christmas present to myself arrived today. I received a big box from my favorite online clothing emporium--the one reminiscent of a chilly body of flowing water. I splurged and ordered a new dress suitable for the ballet, and a beautiful Christmas dress.
The romantic deep red velvet gown with sparkly buttons? Sack of potatoes.
But the strapless deep purple number with the matching wrap? Gorgeous.
Just thought I'd let you know. Carry on.
(P.S. This is how they get you into the bricks-and-mortar store: send a coupon good for 50% off any of the new styles of pants they've been flogging mercilessly in recent catalogues. Good only in the store, that is.)
Oh, and the landscapers will start digging our patio in the morning. I didn't know that was going to happen so fast. I took "before" pictures today.

pictures pictures pictures!!
I have always wanted to order from them but KNOW I will not look the same as the girls in the book. ~sighs~
Pictures of the dresses, too? Yes?
Sounds beautiful! Pictures, yes, pictures!
I also recently availed myself of a special discount I received via email from the same store.
Pictures would be nice. Glad one is gorgeous!
Catalog/internet shopping is like that! I also would love pictures!
I tried to link to the dresses' pictures in the online catalogue and Blogger just wouldn't let me. If you look at the catalogue you'll soon see the ones I'm talking about. Would you believe as of tonight all of those dresses are suddenly 20% off? The Scientist says, send them both back, then re-order the purple one! ;)
Mindy, NOBODY looks like the girls in the book. (For one thing, they have no heads, arms, or legs...)
The schmaltzy product write-ups in that catalog crack me up so much that I read them out loud to friends... haven't brought myself to order from there yet because of it.
But the clothes are pretty.
I went and looked up the dresses. I would have commented sooner, but the drool shorted out my keyboard!
woo, I want to shop there!
maybe! you have inspired me!
