It must've been that thunderstorm. My dryer died with a load of sheets in it and refuses to be resurrected. Meet you at the appliance store!

They wait to break, those appliances. They wait until we are supposed to have free time to relax and unwind. That 'kerchunk kerchunk kerhah!" sound just before they break? That is chuckling!!
